Frequently Asked & Question
Shirdi can be visited year-round. However, the winter months (October to March) offer the most pleasant weather for sightseeing and standing in queues. Summers (April to June) can be very hot. The monsoon season (July to September) sees rainfall but darshan continues. Thursdays are considered auspicious by Sai devotees and tend to be more crowded, as are weekends and festival periods like Ram Navami, Guru Purnima, and Vijayadashami.
Darshan and Aarti passes can be booked online through the official Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust website (online.sai.org.in) in advance. This is highly recommended to avoid long queues, especially during peak times. Limited offline counters are also available, but online booking provides certainty. VIP passes for quicker darshan might also be available online or through specific channels, often at an additional cost.
Devotees are expected to dress modestly and respectfully when visiting the temple premises. Both men and women should wear attire that covers their shoulders, chest, and knees. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, short skirts, or overly revealing clothing. Traditional Indian wear like sarees, salwar kameez, kurtas, dhotis, or simple trousers and shirts are appropriate. Removing footwear is mandatory before entering the main temple areas.
Mobile phones, cameras, and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the main Samadhi Mandir, Dwarkamai, and Chavadi. Secure locker facilities are available near the temple entrances where you can deposit these items for a nominal fee. It's best to leave valuables and electronics at your accommodation or deposit them safely before entering for darshan.
